Andrea Santagata

Andrea Santagata, former General Manager of the brand, is Managing Director of Mondadori Media S.p.A. since June 2023 and for which he follows the management and development of digital brands and the MarTech hub.

He is also the Chief Innovation Officer of the Mondadori Group since February 2019, and Head of the Information Systems Department since May 2021.

Born in Pisa in 1972, he graduated with honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pisa. He began his career in the digital world of internet in 1999, at Libero.it. The experience acquired from 2001 to 2007 at Matrix S.p.A., where he was the Marketing Director of Virgilio from 2004 to 2007, led him to found Splinder, the first Italian blog platform and the start-ups Liquida and Sitonline.

In 2007, he pursued his professional career within the Banzai Group as the CEO of Banzai Media, a company which was then acquired by the Mondadori Group in 2016.

Santagata is also a member of the Board of Directors of Mediamond and Adkaora.
