Icon: Luca Stoppini appointed new creative director
From the March issue, Luca Stoppini will be the new creative director of Icon, the fashion and lifestyle brand of the Mondadori Group.
With the addition of Stoppini to the team, together with the editor Andrea Tenerani and editor-at-large Federico Sarica, Icon will reinforce its distinctive positioning among upscale male lifestyle magazines. Even more attention will be given to image quality and content, thanks to the collaboration of the best names in international photography and leading personalities from the world of contemporary culture.
Luca Stoppini began his career in the fashion world in 1981 with Condé Nast, first as part of the creative time of the first Vanity Fair, edited by a Anna Piaggi, and then, from 1991, 1991 as artistic director of Vogue Italia.
He went on to take on the role of creative director of L’Uomo Vogue and Casa Vogue, positions he held until 2017. In 1991 he opened his own creative consultancy in Milan which, for over 20 years, has worked with the most prestigious international brands, publishing houses, museums, theatres and foundations around the world.
Andrea Tenerani expressed his thanks to Riccardo Ruini for the work done over the last year, which has been fundamental in giving life to the new path taken by Icon.
