Grazia is taking part in Cash&Rocket: the charity car tour in favour of the children of Africa
The extended Grazia family will take turns from London to Cannes
The gran finale will involve Grazia Italia: at the wheel the magazine’s editor, Silvia Grilli, together with Alessia Marcuzzi
Grazia, the women’s weekly edited by Silvia Grilli, is supporting three charity associations involved in the Cash & Rocket initiative.
From 14 to 20 May, seventy famous and influential women from the worlds of fashion, entertainment and business will take part in a competitive luxury car tour (Aston Martin, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati) from London to Cannes, by way of Paris, Lyons and Milan.
The extended Grazia family will be present with three teams – British, French, Italian – taking turns on the various stages of the tour from London to Cannes. The British team will start on 14 May with journalist and blogger Alya Mooro on board. On 16 May the team will head for Paris where the Grazia France team will join them and head for Lyon. On 18 May the participants will reach Milan and on the morning of 19 May the team will leave for Cannes, led by Silvia Grilli, editor of Grazia Italia, together with TV presenter Alessia Marcuzzi.
The winner will not be the team that arrives first but the one that has collected most money in favour of the three charity associations: OrphanAid Africa, which since 2002 has been assisting orphans and families in difficulty by providing social protection and assistance; Shine on Sierra Leone, that is engaged in developing educational opportunities in the country, and Sumbandila, that operates mainly in South Africa with educational programmes.
You can follow the competition on the web and help the Grazia team win thanks to donations. Just go to the Cash & Rocket site (tinyurl.com/Grazia4CR), click ‘donate’ and decide how much give.
