Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni is a protagonist of the Ischia Global Film & Music Fest, the much-anticipated summer event for the world of cinema and music that will be held from 12 to 19 July. An exclusive event during which big manes from Italian and international cinema and show business will be awarded with a special Telegatto.

“The Ischia Global Film & Music Fest is a wonderful occasion where art, entertainment and beauty combine perfectly with some of the islands most enchanting spots, as well as being an opportunity to meet many of the best friends of Sorrisi,” said Aldo Vitali, editor of the Mondadori weekly. “We will award with a special platinum Telegatto six examples of Italian and international excellence, personalities who are much-loved because they represent an ideal combination of the quality of their work and popularity and affection of large audiences. Which are, of course, the ingredients with which, every week, we put together for our magazine, Italy’s biggest-selling weekly,” Vitali concluded.

Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni will award a special Telegatto to Christian De Sica for his career in the cinema, Andrea Bocelli for his outstanding artistic talent and Gabriel Garko for his successes on television. But also three great international artists will also be celebrated; producer, film director and screenwriter Lee Daniels, anchorman Jimmy Kimmel and record producer Clive Davis.

The weekly will cover the entire event and the protagonists of the Festival also online with news, updates and curiosities in real time on Sorrisi.com.

But the presence of Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni at the Ischia Global Film & Music Fest doesn’t end here: in fact, especially for the occasion, a photographic exhibition has been organised at Ischia’s historic Palazzo Pezzillo with some of the most outstanding images drawn from over 60 years of Tv Sorrisi e Canzoni, which will enable visitors to relive some of the most significant and suggestive moments of the history of show business.
