PLAI is the Mondadori Group’s startup accelerator that aims to transform ideas based on the exploitation of artificial intelligence into successful entrepreneurial ventures. PLAI offers a distinctive field of application and an industrial market both within the Group and with the initiative’s partners.

With PLAI, the Mondadori Group sets itself the following objectives:

• set up a technology hub to identify highly innovative initiatives in the sectors in which it operates – publishing, education, retail, media and advertising;
• position itself at the centre of the artificial intelligence revolution, becoming the nucleus of a national and international community of innovators;
• create industrial value and competitive advantage through targeted investments in AI startups.

In addition to capital, the accelerator provides startups with concrete AI application areas, structured training and mentorship courses and the opportunity to participate in networking events. This is also thanks to the unique set of skills and assets provided by the relevant Italian and international collaborators who decided to participate in this initiative.
