In GialloZafferano 15 new recipes and a Master Class by Iginio Massari

GialloZafferano, the Mondadori Group brand that is a point of reference for Italians in the kitchen, is enhancing its web site with a new recipe section, created in collaboration with Iginio Massari, himself a point of reference in Italian pastry making.

The project includes a collection of 15 dessert reipes: to the 8 that are already online on the site will be added others week by week, created by the master pastry chef directly in the GialloZafferano kitchen.

Plus, on 12 November, Iginio Massari will be the star of a Master Class dedicated to pastry cream: and the maestro will use the social media channels of GialloZafferano to answer the questions and doubts of the community about this type of preparation.

With this collaboration, the brand, which has some 13 million unique users, will reinforce its relationship with leading high-end Italian chefs, master pastry chefs and bakers. The illustrious pastry chef, who is also currently involved in the opening of a new boutique in Turin, was judged to be the best in the world during the World Pastry Stars 2019, the international congress of high-end pastry-making.

All of the master pastry chef’s recipes will be available also on the social media channels of GialloZafferano and optimised for the smart speakers  Google Assistant and Alexa.

Sale&Pepe: cooking becomes more exciting and refined

A new look for the magazine from November

Sale&Pepe, the Mondadori Group brand, which for thirty years has brought pleasure to the table thanks to exclusive and refined gastronomic ideas, has been revamped, become even more special, rich and of the moment.

From November, the magazine, edited by Laura Maragliano, will focus on emotions, with a contemporary design, exciting photographs and the uniqueness of Italian excellence, covering the territory, products and companies from the world of Made in Italy, a unique and balanced overview of elegance and simplicity.

“With this redesign Sale&Pepe shows that it is always with the times,” Maragliano explained, “without betraying the character of a magazine dedicated to people who love good cooking and everything that surrounds the culture of food.”

The images will have more space and a more engaging effect, with new, sophisticated and elegant  typefaces, easier to read texts and recipes, close-ups and more creative and curated pages.

Sale&Pepe will also be enhanced by new features and columns dedicated to wine, extra-virgin olive oil, objects for the table and domestic appliances, territorial excellence and sustainability.

Mondadori Group receives a binding offer for 5 magazines from La Verità S.r.l.

Arnoldo Mondadori Editore S.p.A., whose Board of Directors met today, has announced that the company has received a binding offer for the acquisition of the magazines Confidenze, Cucina Moderna, Sale&Pepe, Starbene and Tustyle from La Verità S.r.l..

The Board resolved to give a mandate to the chief executive, Ernesto Mauri, to take all the necessary steps to examine and finalise the operation, consistent with the Group’s previously announced strategy of focusing on the core businesses of Books, Retail and Magazines with high multimedia development potential.

The offer, which remains valid until 31 December 2019, foresees the creation of a NewCo, 75% of which will be held by La Verità S.r.l. and 25% by Arnoldo Mondadori Editore S.p.A.; the offer also involves an earn-out in favour of the partner Arnoldo Mondadori Editore S.p.A. and put/call mechanisms in favour of both partners.

The activities of the 5 titles that are the subject of the offer, in 2018, generated revenues of €22.4 million.

In line with legal provisions, the relevant trade union procedures will be followed.

Mondadori Store two new bookshops In Cagliari

Mondadori Store, Italy’s most extensive bookstore chain, is expaning the network with the opening of two new Mondadori Bookstores in franchising in Cagliari.

Located in the centre of the city, in Via Roma and Via Pasquale Paoli, the two new bookshops will employ 8 sales assistants, and will make available to the public the best of the Mondadori Store’s cultural and entertainment offer, which apart from books – the core offer – is supported by a rich calendar of events, meetings with authors and labs for children.

Inside the bookshops, which join the other five already open in the Sardinian capital, customers will find an extensive selection of books, with more than 20,000 titles on the shelves, as well as  music, films, stationery, technology and toys.

It will also be possible to make use of all of the Mondadori Store services, such as Pick Up Point, which allows readers to collect books bought on Mondadoristore.it, choosing from a catalogue of 11 million titles; Order and collect, or rather, order online, then pick up and pay in the store; Home Delivery, to have products ordered in the store deliver directly to you home.

These openings takes to 35 the number of Mondadori Store outlets in Sardinia. From the largest cities to smaller towns, the Mondadori Group chain boasts extensive coverage of the country, serving – in its shops and on Mondadoristore.it – more than 20 million customers every year.

Upcoming events at the Mondadori Bookstore in Via Roma include, on Monday 21 October, at 6 pm, Niccolò Fabi who will present his new record “Tradizione e tradimento”.

Frankfurt Book Fair 2019

This year again we will attend the Frankfurt Book Fair, at its 71st edition from 16 to 20 October with our publishing houses and imprints.

It is the most prestigious European event in the field of book publishing.

Mondadori Store opens in Seriate the first bookstore inside the hypermarket Iper La grande I

On Sunday 13 October at 4.30 pm Geronimo Stilton meets his young fans

Mondadori Store, Italy’s most extensive network of bookstores and Iper Montebello S.p.A. – Gruppo Finiper,  will open the first bookstore inside a hypermarket at Iper La grande i, part of the “Alle Valli” shopping mal in Seriate (Bergamo).

With this opening, for the first time Mondadori Store will bring its offer to a large-scale retail outlet, with the format Mondadori Point format.

With a floor surface of 200 square metres, the bookstore, which will be directly managed by Mondadori Store, will employ four sales assistants and a rich offer to customers: from over 5,000 titles, including new titles, in fiction, non-fiction, classics and cartoons, as well as books for children and young readers and an assortment of stationery products. This will enhance the offer dedicated to the customers of the biggest Iper La grande i outlet in Italy, with more than 500 employees and 12,000 square meters of floorspace.

“To be a point of reference in culture and entertainment to satisfy the tastes of the broadest possible public: this is the philosophy that has always characterised Mondadori Store,” underlined Carmine Perna, the chief executive of Mondadori Retail. “Thanks to this partnership, which marks the debut of our brand in the large-scale retail sector, will also enable us to multiply our channels of relationships with customers. From the big cities to the smallest centres, our model is focused on the quality of the buying experience, multi-channel services and events, while always focusing on the needs of the customer/reader,” Perna concluded.

Customers will also be able to make use of all of the Mondadori Store services, such as the Pick Up Point, which allows the customer to pick up a book bought on Mondadoristore.it from one of our stores, having chosen from a catalogue of 11 million titles; Order and Collect, ie the possibility of buying online and collecting from the store; Home delivery, having products ordered in the store delivered to the home.

On Sunday 13 October, at 4.30 pm, the Mondadori Point will welcome Geronimo Stilton, the celebrated journalist mouse, created from an idea by Elisabetta Dami and published in Italy by Edizioni Piemme, for a special encounter aimed at children and their families.

Geronimo Stilton will be present “in whiskers and fur” to talk about his adventure based on the book Il segreto di Leonardo (Leonardo’s Secret), dedicated to Leonardo da Vinci. After the show, Geronimo Stilton will be available to sign copies of the book and to take photographs with his many fans.

The Mondadori Group launches uARe, an augmented reality platform for interactive experiences

The Mondadori Group has announced the launch of uARe, a new tool for the creation of augmented reality content, produced together with Focus, the brand that is an international point of reference in popular science and entertainment.

The platform was developed thanks to support from the Innovation Fund of Google’s Digital News Initiative won by Focus and which has certified the leadership of the Mondadori Group brand in the management of interactive content and experiences.

uARe, developed in collaboration with the technological partner Magma, is a solution that comprise of a platform for the development and layout of cloud-based AR content and a customisable mobile application for each client through which it is possible to access interactive and immersive experiences.

It is now much easier to create and put on the page 360° videos and photos, 3D animations 3D and audio content. uARe is characterised by an easy-to-use interface, the speed of the productive workflow, dashboard analytic marketing with data on the use of the experiences, geo-tracking of AR experiences and shared functions on the main social networks.

The platform, with which the Mondadori Group will innovate the augmented reality market, is ideal for use in a range of sectors, from publishing to education, as well as retail, communication and events.
